Our Journey

WE'VE COME A LONG WAY.

Arctic Warriors was born in 2021, when the pandemic forced the world to pause, shutting down Stan's karate dojo and personal training.


Stan had competed on tatami mats since age 7 and relied on cold therapy for more than a decade before he built his first DIY “ice bath” in 2017—a hulking stock tank he filled with ice. Hauling ice bags was slow, pricey, and never quite cold enough to reach research-backed temperatures.


To fix that, Stan teamed up with George (later Arctic Warriors’ Co-Founder and resident engineer). They tore apart old HVAC units, sketched plans on pizza boxes, and spent long nights building an ice-free, self-chilling prototype for their own use.


It wasn’t a commercial product yet, but as they kept tweaking, iteration spiralled into obsession. Version after version, the rig got colder, tougher, and simpler. And as the pandemic had their backs against the wall, the realisation hit:


If two guys in a garage could reach the temperatures those so-called “premium” chillers only promised, everyone deserved the same no-ice, no-hassle cold plunge.

FIRST, WE ASKED QUESTIONS

To create a production-ready design, Stan and George knew they had to step up. Driven by customer feedback and rigorous comparisons deconstructing existing solutions on the market, they went through dozens of more prototypes and iterations.

And learned that most systems on the market are:


  • Basic templateChinese designs.

  • Too big and heavy, making them difficult to handle.

  • Difficult to set up and operate.

  • Built with cheap components,sacrificing longevity and performance.

  • Prioritising looks over function, often at an exorbitant price.


... and above all, these systems on are incredibly slow at cooling water, and consistently fail in hotter climates.

NEXT, WE WORKED SUPER HARD ON OUR PRODUCTS

Unlike competitors relying on generic, off-the-shelf components, at Arctic Warriors, we engineer and produce our components in-house.
